As fashion week rolls on in Paris, local retailer Chelsea Lane is bringing the catwalk to Coachella Valley with the Under & Out 2 charity fashion show to benefit the Desert AIDS Project.
“When much of the country is getting ready for a cold winter the Palm Springs season is just beginning to get into full swing in October,” David Brinkman, CEO of the Desert AIDS Project, said. “So, what could be better than lounging poolside and choosing swimwear and underwear? It sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday.”
If you agree, join us on Sunday, October 6 at the Skylark Hotel (1466 N. Palm Canyon Dr.) from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free, but you can contribute to the D.A.P. by buying raffle tickets for a chance to win Chelsea Lane merchandise and other great prizes. Or, splash out for covered VIP seating, which includes light bites, water, and soft drink service for $250 for a table of eight or $150 for a table of five. (Call 760-278-1278 for more details.)
Last year’s show was a resounding success, and this year promises to be bigger and better.
“We hosted the first Under & Out event expecting only a few dozen attendees, said Jeffrey Bernstein, who co-owns Chelsea Lane Bodywear, along with Dr. Oscar Chamudes. “When 300 people showed up for the event, we realized it had the potential to become a fundraiser for a worthy charity like the Desert AIDS Project.”
Chelsea Lane specializes in brand-name swim- and underwear for men and women, so the show will include designs by Diesel, C-In2, Hugo Boss, and other top designers. Celebrity emcee Wesley Eure will help kick off the fashion show at 4 p.m.
The event is co-presented by LIVE magazine and Destination PSP. For more on Chelsea Lane, visit www.ChelseaLane.com.
See you there!
